Robert Thom was appointed VP, Financial Lines at Sompo in September 2023.
In this role, he leads the Canadian Financial Lines underwriting team and manages the domestic portfolio.
Mr Thom has more than 14 years of insurance industry experience, specializing in financial lines, portfolio management, and underwriting leadership.
Prior to joining Sompo, he held roles at Zurich Canada, ACE Group and Marsh UK, with experience across complex financial and professional liability risks.
Mr Thom holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Ottawa.
