Hidetaka "Neil" Takahashi

Hidetaka Takahashi was appointed Managing Director of Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. Canada Branch in April 2026.
Prior to this role, Mr Takahashi served as Manager at Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. in Tokyo.
Mr Takahashi has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience, with expertise spanning property and casualty insurance, accounting and financial management.
Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles across Japan, Canada and the United States, including positions with Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. and Sompo America.
Mr Takahashi holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Keio University and a diploma in risk and insurance from St. John's University.
